About

Steve has been playing and teaching guitar professionally for over 35 years.

His wealth of live performing experience in many styles from classical to bluegrass, Latin to Irish means he can offer tuition in electric and acoustic guitar in a wide range of styles.

Steve started teaching at the Birmingham Guitar School in 1982 and became principal in 1986 and is also a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors.

Steve has worked with Arturo Sandoval, the world’s number one Cuban Trumpeter, and has also supported Martin Taylor and Paco Pena as a solo guitarist and played on numerous theatre shows.

Steve also works with Davey Arthur, one of Ireland’s top Folk artists.

He spent 15 years playing and touring with his Latin bands Como No and Otra Vez and has appeared on various TV and Radio shows worldwide and is now actively playing and touring with his Bluegrass band, the Clarksville Mountain Band and Davey Arthur.

All lessons take place in a fully equipped studio.
